Overall Expectations:
After completing this program, the student is expected to have comprehensive knowledge of TCM theory and diagnosis and the practical skills required to safely and effectively administer tuina massage treatments for common illnesses.
Specific Expectations:
After completing this program, the student is expected to be able to practice tuina massage and related modalities such as Taiji qigong for common diseases as an independent practitioner or in conjunction with other treatment modalities.
Equivalent Standards:
Graduates of this program are eligible to write NCCAOM Asian bodywork therapy certification exams.
Requirements:
This program requires a minimum of 2260 hours (including 560 clinical hours), and takes three academic years full time, or four to six years part-time to complete.
