The third successful Clean Needle Technique Course at TSTCM
September 30, 2007
In order to ensure the safety of the practitioners, patients and the general public, the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine has successfully hosted the third Clean Needle Technique (CNT) course and certification examinations on September 30, 2007. CNT certification is one of the requirements for acupuncture examination and certification by the US National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Over 40 states recognize NCCAOM certification for professional license. The CNT course and certification is provided by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM). All instructors and examiners of this course are selected and arranged by CCAOM.
There were 48 people took the exams with 44 from TSTCM. Among all, 47 have successfully passed both written and practical examinations and are expecting their certificate in the near future. TSTCM is the only school hosting the CCAOM CNT course and certification examinations in Canada at the present time.
