Course Name: Stage II - Clinical Assistance

Course Code: 8021 and 8022

Course Description: This stage of the clinical training provides students with the opportunity to become more familiar with all aspects of TCM practice in the clinic by working together with senior interns. Supervised and guided by faculty members, students will assist interns in greeting and preparing patients, dispensing herbs, performing non-invasive techniques such as tuina, checking patients during needle retention, and start needling common and safe points. Students will be evaluated and assigned more responsibilities according to the level of competencies each student acquired. Upon the completion of clinical assistance, students will have good ideas about clinical procedures with the ability to apply TCM knowledge in the diagnosis and treatments of common diseases with guidance and supervision from expert and senior interns.
