Course Description: The first step toward clinical proficiency is the ability to accurately locate acupuncture points while understanding the theory of channels and collaterals. This course provides a general introduction to the channel and collateral system, acupoints and basic needling techniques, as well as methods of accurate point location through lectures, demonstration and hands-on practice. Students study the pathways of the first six channels and their points, including the nature, location, function, application, needling methods and contraindications.
