Our aim is to admit only the most serious applicants – those who have demonstrated a strong desire and determination to succeed in the field of TCM and the ability to appreciate and take advantage of the unique curriculum offered. Our goal is to provide you with all the tools necessary to build a rewarding and successful career in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
We encourage you to not only visit our school or sit in on a class, but also to set-up a pre-application appointment with our academic advisor so that we may answer all your questions in detail and help you with your decision.
The Admissions Committee reviews every application carefully to ensure that each applicant has the qualities appropriate to the practice of TCM, including education, motivation, maturity, academic ability and communication skills.
Admission Requirements
- Two or more years of post-secondary education or equivalent
professional experience
- Evidence of maturity and an understanding of the role and
responsibilities of a heath care professional
- Strong motivation and a determination to succeed in the field of TCM
- Proficiency in the English language
Application Deadlines
Applications must be received by the same date two months prior to the beginning of the term. Applications received after the deadline will only be considered if there is space. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit all required application documents as early as possible, as class sizes are limited.
Once the application is completed and evaluated, the student will be contacted to schedule a personal interview. After the interview the prospective student is carefully considered before being notified about his or her admission status.
Application Procedures
Applicants for admission to TSTCM must provide the school with the following
- A properly completed Application for Admission form
- Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended, sent directly
from the institution
- A non-refundable $105.00 application fee ($210 for international students)
- Two letters of recommendation
- A statement of purpose reflecting the applicant's capabilities,
how he or she became interested in pursuing a career in TCM,
his or her vision as a future TCM practitioner and why he or she chose TSTCM
- Two passport photos taken within the last 3 months
- For international students, a financial statement
Registration Procedure
Step 1 - Request our catalogue by:
Step 2 - Attend an Open House, arrange to sit in on a class, or set up a visit to the school.
Step 3 - Complete and send the application form, together with required documents and applicable fees. We will contact you to arrange an interview. Within 2 weeks after the interview you will be notified about our admission decision by both mail and email.
Start Dates
Students who are offered admission will begin their programs in January, May or September each year. Please check the academic calendar for details. The course registration deadline is one month prior to the start of the term. To register, the properly completed and signed registration form together with applicable fees and tuition payment in the form of a certified cheque, money order or bank draft must be submitted. Enrollment will be confirmed only after all fees are received. |
